ABOUT JIBON O JIBIKA
The population of Bangladesh in was 4.51 crores that increased to 16,21 crores by 2017(estimated) indicating by 4 times increase. This massive and quick growth population took place due to health consciousness. Local and foreign NGOs that are working to aid disabilities program for the community of Bangladesh. We are Jibon O Jibika (NGO) one of them and eagerly to our contribution provide to smoothly & widely with local and international stakeholder, government and non government organizations. We should work tirelessly to eradicate related disabilities by not just providing medical interventions and support, but by rehabilitating individuals and families of those affected by physical problem. It should be our mission to provide accessible and quality disabilities services including rehabilitation and continue to provide such services as long as and wherever needed.Ideals and aims of the organization:
This organization is a private voluntary, social welfare oriented non-profitable and non-political organization. It is a social welfare oriented and philanthropist organization by integration of one or more matters or different programs. To conduct socio-economic developmental activities for people of the different strata of the society, i.e irrespective of nationality, religion, caste or race by voluntary activities through creation of unity, discipline and cooperative environment. This organization will perform developmental works by accepting cooperation from any local or foreign organization (with the permission of the concerned authority).
Detailed aim and objectives of the organization:
(A) Program related with health: To ensure diagnosis, prevention of diseases, medical treatment and supply of drugs free of cost with the approval of Ministry of Health. To establish hospital for free treatment of the poor people of the country and to arrange for training for improvement of the standard of treatment. To provide primary treatment of mothers who have delivered recently, vaccination program for newly born children, cooperate for increasing consciousness about good health, above all regarding usefulness of breast feeding. To disseminate breast feeding is better than canned milk. To increase awareness of the people, regarding mother and child health.
(B) Educational Program: To take up educational program with the approval of the concerned authority so that the education may be spread among the poor urban and rural people. To attract rural and urban people about child education, adult education. To implement sub formal education program. To arrange for employment by providing practical education to the illiterate people side by side making them educated. To provide stipends to the meritorious students and to supply free educational materials to poor and meritorious students.
(C) Welfare and rehabilitation program for retarded and destitute: To arrange for treatment of physical and mentally handicapped persons with the approval of the concerned ministry. To improve standard of education, health and social and environmental standard of the handicapped persons by providing training to the guardians of the handicapped persons. To take steps for rehabilitation of the neglected orphans, women, poor rootless children.
D) Family Planning program: To arrange for providing services through various clinics to educate regarding birth control and family planning under family planning program with the approval of the concerned Ministry and to distribute birth control materials and to preserve registration regarding child birth and death.
E) Agriculture, pisciculture and live stock program: Motivating people in the field of agriculture with the approval of the concerned authority, give encouragement and to develop cultivators as time befitting cultivators through education of cultivators to increase production, supply agricultural materials like seeds, fertilizer medicine easily and free of cost, if necessary and to cooperate in preservation of produced materials of the cultivators and marketing by setting up of small and big cold storages and to build demonstration farm. To develop apiculture, rearing up of silk worm, to establish poultry, pisciculture and dairy and to arrange for training of unemployed young women and concerned cultivators.
F) Poverty elimination program: Training program for employment of poor landless, pauper, homeless and people of low income group under poverty elimination program. To take measures for employment through providing necessary formal and vocational education to educated youth, neglected youth, widows.
G) Women welfare program: To conduct necessary activities for increasing honor in the society and to strengthening economic role of the women to free them from the curse of dependence. To provide legal advice to the distressed women including organizing various kinds of workshops, symposiums, and conference to enhance women rights and awareness. To provide various efficiency building training to develop socio-economic development of the women and to make them self reliant.
H) Program for preservation of environment: Preservation of environment suitable for development through creation of awareness and spreading of education. To undertake planting of trees, afforestation, nursery for this purpose and to take up programs which are environment friendly (with the approval of the-concerned authority).
I) Setting up of technical training center for the development of human resources: To provide vocational training about various subjects for employment of educated youths and to develop socio economic development in the country by undertaking overall program for human resource development with the approval of the concerned authority. To arrange for computer and data entry training, electrical and electronics training.
J) Social movement: To organize movement against antisocial activities, drug and smoking through raising social consciousness. To motivate people for quitting smoking and other drugs. To increase public consciousness against early marriage, polygamy, dowry and torture of women. To increase awareness for marriage registration (Kabin) activity. To undertake programs for service and rehabilitation of the affected people due to flood, storm, epidemic etc. To motivate and render assistance by undertaking various socio and cultural functions" to prevent social orthodoxy and fundamentalism, superstitions and torture and social crime propensity. To arrange burial of unclaimed dead bodies.
(K) Program related with small or cottage industry: Setting up of industries under program related with small and cottage industry with the approval of concerned authority, creation of new entrepreneurs by providing interest free' necessary financial assistance, providing training on local and foreign cooking to the women, making of embroidered quilt, sewing of quilt, block, boutique and providing training upon various kinds of handicrafts.
(L) Establishment of harmonious relationship with social welfare oriented organization: To carry out activities jointly with other organizations to facilitate activities, establish developmental working relationship with all governmental and private organizations and to establish contact with other organizations at national and international level (with the approval of the concerned authority).
(M) Prevention program of AIDs and other diseases: To motivate people to take planned and practical steps to prevent serious infectious diseases like, cancer, HIV, AIDs, plague, Hepatitis-B Virus, Sars etc. with the approval of Ministry of Health and to arrange treatment of the people affected with these diseases.
(N) Arsenic prevention program: To motivate to drink pure water free from arsenic and other harmful chemical matters with the approval of the Ministry of Health. Marking these areas and tubewells after identifying level of arsenic harmful for human bodies present in the water.
